1. In one dimensional spring element problem ,we have derived the stiffness matrix for element with 2 nodes. What will be stiffness matrix if we have 3 nodes in one element? (derive as detailed as you can)

In the beam problem, we assume the shape function as a cubic polynomial equation, y=a1 X^3+ a2 X^3+ a3 X+a4

2. Why do you think this equation is a cubic equation? Can it be second order? And why?

3. We explain the beam problem which is called as Euler-Bernoulli Beam.
In that theory, there is on force on the X direction. What do you think the stiffness equation will become if we consider force in the X direction.
