「鋼鐵人3」在台灣連莊2周票房冠軍，上映12天全台累計4.5億台幣，衝上影史好萊塢賣座榜第9名。該片5月3日才在美國上映，以1.75億美元（約台幣51.7億元）創下美國影史第2的開片紀錄，僅輸給去年「復仇者聯盟」的2億美元紀錄。

「鋼鐵人3」已在其他國家賺進5億480萬美元，全球總票房已有6.8億美元（約台幣201億元）。鋼鐵人的票房1集比1集更猛，「鋼鐵人2」下片時的全球總票房也才3.1億美元，第3集一下就超越了。

有趣的是，「鋼鐵人3」的票房在美國不敵自家英雄聯合作戰的「復仇者聯盟」；但在台灣，裝備最炫又有小勞勃道尼的「鋼鐵人3」，卻超越了「復仇者聯盟」的開片紀錄。
